Language
Tajik is the official state language of Tajikistan. It was formed on the basis of Farsi and some other Eastern-Iranian languages that were spread throughout the territory of Movarounahr and Khorasan during the 9th and 10th centuries. The Tajik language is one of the three modern literary languages of the Central Asian region: Tajik (in Tajikistan), Persian (in Iran) and Dari (in Afghanistan).
It is noteworthy that Tajiks had their own state, then called Samanids more than 10 centuries ago. The dynasty of Samanids is considered as one of the great dynasties of the world.
