Rudaki Avenue: From Lenin to Rudaki
Rudaki Avenue (formerly known as Lenin Avenue) in the heart of Dushanbe is surrounded by lush trees on both sides with the backdrop of picturesque snow-capped mountains.  Strolling down this avenue takes you on a journey where old meets new.  You see traces of Soviet history that led to Lenin’s rise to power and immortality.  And you feel the pride of modern day Tajikistan shaped by the poetry of Persian Poet Rudaki.

Where will your journey on Rudaki Avenue take you?  Perhaps to Dushanbe’s famous opera and ballet theatre or to the largest national library in Central Asia, while you stop by at the local shops, cafes, traditional Tajik teahouses or one of the many luscious parks.
